There is a lot to chew on in the game that players will only have vague ideas of who the characters are. As noted, the choices affect the dynamics of the character relationships, how they escape, and whether or not they survive. They can make the dialogue decisions by pointing the needle of a compass at one of two spoken options. More, they seem to have been born multiple times, as depicted in the way it thrust the characters into scenarios from three different eras.ĭespite the crawling cast and scenes, however, the players can only control the present-day versions of the characters. Oddly enough, the protagonists have the same faces and similar names to the family in the 70s. The said family-save one-met their grisly demise when the youngest daughter left her doll on the stovetop causing the house to burn. The game begins with a flashback to the 1970s and a short introduction to a troubled family of six. The goal of the game is to escape the predicament they are in. It introduces four college students and their professor, all of whom are trapped in a Silent Hill-esque Salem Witch scenario after their bus crashes. The premise, meanwhile, is very familiar to Stephen King’s The Mist or John Carpenter’s The Fog. It has the same Puritan-era paranoia from The Witch, coupled with the iconography from The Blair Witch Project. Like its immediate predecessor, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, Little Hope is a mix of various elements seen in other horror stories. It is a four-hour narrative game, which can be played solo or cooperatively. It is a series of cinematics, linked together by choices, and, occasionally, interrupted by a quick-time prompt. The second installment of the Dark Pictures Anthology franchise, this game is a mashup of horror tropes and subgenres. The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is an interactive horror video game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

There is no way an inexperienced mobile port developer can make a game ten times the size of it run on a mobile device. The official Ultimate Custom night port barely runs on most phones. Q: Will there ever be a port for mobile devices?Ī: No. Stay in the office, close doors, check the vents, wind the music box, collect Faz-Coins, use the Power Generator, Heater, Power A/C, watch the cameras on 4 different floors and a basement, check the vent radar, the air ducts, the light system, the GPS system, complete tasks, cut trees and much, much more! Compared to the PC version, its button placements had to be relocated for smaller screens and making it difficult to activate them.A 500+ character roster, with characters from all over the FNaF franchise, including the main series of games, spin-offs, merchandise, the Fanverse Initiative and many more, each character able to be customized in AI difficulty between 0 and 20, there is nearly endless possibilities for your own Custom Nights! However, this mobile version isn’t too optimized with its controls and may sometimes lag your playthrough, costing you the win. Overall, Ultimate Custom Night is a great addition to the FNaF franchise and is perfect for any Custom Night challengers who want easy access to the series’ iconic enemies. The size of some buttons isn’t intuitive to use, either-sometimes making them hard to tap. You can adjust the settings, but it still happens often. However, this mobile port has some drawbacks. There are 16 themed challenges available, as well as unlockable office designs and cutscenes. You can also earn power-ups after each round and find Faz-Coins to buy special warding items. It’s still the same here, but there are more items you can control, such as vents, fans, and a music box, amongst others. The FNaF series’ overall gameplay mechanics consist of checking cameras and battery-powered doors to keep an eye on the animatronics. You immediately have access to the 50 animatronics from all FNaF games and can set their difficulty from 0 to 20. In this spin-off, you can design your own Custom Night stage.
